NAC Vs. Glutathione

Glutathione is one of the most powerful detoxification agents in the body.

It’s created from NAC/cysteine + glycine and glutamine, which are all amino acids found in proteins.

But the challenge with glutathione supplementation is its size. It’s too large to pass into the cell via free diffusion and there are no cellular receptors for glutathione.

So how does Glutathione via Supplementation get into the Cell?

The answer is: it doesn’t.

Therefore, glutathione supplementation is not nearly as effective as NAC supplementation.

While liposomal glutathione travels efficiently into the body, it still doesn’t make it into the cell.

On the other hand, NAC is welcomed into the cell where it can turn into the powerful glutathione by combining with cysteine and glutamine.

So, in the competition of NAC vs. glutathione supplementation, NAC wins!
