Spanish Black Radish

No matter how diligent we are, we are exposed to toxins on a daily basis.

It is our job to avoid toxicity however we can, but it is also our job to support the innate ability of our body to detoxify.

Enter: Spanish Black Radish (SBR)

Vegetables of the cruciferous or brassica family, like SBR, contain high levels of glucosinolates. Glucosinolates enhance detoxification.

Spanish black radishes (SBR) contain 4 times more glucosinolates than any other cruciferous vegetable.

Many studies show it improves both phase I and phase II detoxification through the liver.

It can even block dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA) - a chemical that consistently causes mammary tumors in rodents. It also blocks DMBA in bone marrow.

Here are some ways to get the amazing SBR into your diet:

  • Grow your own in a garden

  • Pick some up from your local farmer’s market

  • Purchase from your produce section at the grocery store

  • Consume in supplement form - for patients of mine with a Fullscript account, Standard Process makes a wonderful product with 370 mg of Organic Spanish Black Radish per tablet, along with vitamin C
